About Us
About Us

Why we promote Deaf Awareness.

Promoting Equality - Enhancing Lives

We are on a mission to provide Deaf Awareness Training to organisations wishing to better serve deaf people, and people with hearing loss. We deliver training that is entertaining, educational and based on real-life experience. We are passionate about achieving equality, demonstrating diversity and improving access. We are dedicated to educating the public about how people with hearing loss manage in the modern world and identifying areas for improvement within your own organisation.

We want to help you to challenge the attitudes, perceptions and expectations relating to deafness and hearing loss by providing a training course that is both thought-provoking and educational.

The Benefits

How We Can Help

People with hearing loss are customers and clients too! We believe that through training and discussion, barriers can be broken down and compassionate understanding can be achieved.

Imagine the difference that creative, practical and stimulating deaf Awareness Training could have on your workforce. Your staff will be capable and enthusiastic when assisting people with hearing loss. They will learn all about the following attributes:

Diversity

Demonstrate to your staff and customers the importance you place on inclusivity and diversity

Confidence

Provide confidence to your staff when assisting deaf people, so they know what to do and not to do.

Empowerment

Empower and motivate front-line staff. Know what to do when a deaf customer comes in.

Support

Enable your organisation to offer superior service to customers and clients.

People who are deaf or who have hearing loss can be confronted with obstacles wherever they go. When visiting businesses, companies or organisations it can be rather tiring and frustrating. It is always refreshing to be greeted by a competent and helpful member of staff with knowledge of any special requirements. We can help you to achieve this.

Equality

We provide Deaf Awareness Training to small businesses, charities, council departments, private industry and anyone else with an interest in compliance with the Equality Act 2010, and the Disability Discrimination Act.

Types of Hearing Loss and Deafness

There are many different types of hearing loss, including: Conductive, Sensorineural, Mixed, Age-Related Hearing Loss, Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Tinnitus, Moderate, Severe, Profound...
